Lennox and Addington County

The County of Lennox and Addington located in Ontario Canada is strategically located on the Highway 401 corridor 2 hours from Toronto and Ottawa and 2.5 hours from Montreal and Syracuse. We offer great access to major Canadian and United States markets and over 300,000 people live within a 30-minute drive of central L&A.

L&A has a population of 44,837 and a labour force catchment area of 220,000. Lennox and Addington consists of the Town of Greater Napanee, Loyalist Township, Addington Highlands Township and Stone Mills Township. The southern portion of the County is equidistant to larger urban centres of Belleville and Kingston, each only 30 km away.

Lennox and Addington is an ideal location for business, offering companies a competitive advantage by way of operating costs and capital costs. Our production workers are paid 20% less than Toronto workers and the average cost of an acre of serviced industrial land is $35,000. We have numerous industrially zoned lots available in prime locations with access to Highway 401, CN Rail or the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Lennox and Addington hosts a wide array of business types including a large number of manufacturers. More than 50 manufacturing companies are available to serve the needs of businesses, including large international players such as Goodyear, Lafarge and Invista. Just recently we announced a $200 million ethanol plant to be constructed in Loyalist Township.

The County enjoys a quality of life that few other communities can compare. It offers a relaxed, rural lifestyle with the amenities of larger cities. Residents and visitors can pursue recreational activities by taking advantage of the area's many walking and cycling trails, water-based activities and golf courses.
